“Importance of Water Conservation” a Seminar to encourage safeguarding water for the future generations was held on March 22nd at the Seminar Hall

Water is the cradle for life force. On behalf of Al-Azhar Collage of Engineering, the department of Civil Engineering conducted a seminar on the topic “Importance of water conservation” on March 22, World Water Day at the collage seminar hall. Participants include faculties and first year students. Asst Prof: Dona Joy, CE Department welcome the gathering. Principal Dr. D F Melvin Jose points out the importance of water conservation and ensuring a sustainable environment for our future generations to live in his presidential address. The speaker Prof: Riya Susan, HOD, CE Department focused on the importance of freshwater and the need for advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. She made us realise that water is more than the essential component to quench thirst or protect health but is also vital for creating jobs and supporting economic, social, and human development. The day made us learn more about water related issues, be inspired to tell others and take action to make a difference. Asst Prof: Aksharamol G Raj, CE Department, conveyed the vote of thanks.
