The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Al-Azhar College of Engineering and Technology, Thodupuzha organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from 16 June 2025 to 20 June 2025 on “Outcome Based Engineering Education and Professional Competencies” to enhance faculty understanding of the OBE framework and its relevance in attaining global accreditation standards. The programme focused on equipping faculty with necessary insights and skills for implementing effective teaching-learning processes, assessments, and professional practices aligned with the NBA and Washington Accord guidelines. The FDP enhanced the faculty’s awareness and preparedness in implementing OBE practices in their respective departments. Participants expressed a clearer understanding of aligning curriculum, teaching, and assessment with the OBE model and NBA requirements. The sessions also provided practical insights into fostering professional competencies and utilizing digital platforms for improved academic delivery.
