About the Principal

Dr. D. F. Melvin Jose is an able administrator with more than twenty years of teaching and research experience in several Engineering colleges. He has taken charge as principal of AL-AZHAR College of Engineering and Technology from March 2019 onwards. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering from Madras University, masters from Annamalai University and doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University- Hyderabad. His distinctive discipline at the workplace and his immense contribution to the education environment has always been revered and adored. To his credit, he published more than 25 research articles in various National & International journals. He is an active member of several professional bodies such as ISTE, IEI &SAE. He has been actively involved in all administrative and developmental activities of the institution and continuously strives to achieve the vision of the Institution. His accomplishment and achievements will bring glory to our institution and encourage all those who aspire for greatness.

“Dream is not that which you see while sleeping and it is something that does not let you sleep” – a famous quote by Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, you should always dream high to scale up to new heights in your profession. To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion towards your goal.

Education today is no longer confined to the four walls of the classroom. Among all, AL-AZHAR College of Engineering and Technology (AACET) stands at the forefront in providing quality education and training to its students so that they come out as competent engineers in their respective fields. Development is a continuous process in our institution and our aim to strive for excellence has gained. Our institution has made all round efforts to provide qualitative and value based education. We are striving for excellence in this direction, which led us to believe that the hopes and expectations of our students will be achieved when they face the real world. A conducive and amiable environment is being maintained in the institution so that the activity of teaching and learning is done successfully. Academics alone is not our aim but to create gold individuals with a positive attitude and also prepare them to face real life situations outside the institution.
