Anti-narcotics Cell

The anti-narcotics cell of the college has been constituted to guarantee a drug- free campus by prohibiting consumption or use of drugs and alcohol by students of the college, within or outside the college premises. The activities of anti-narcotic cell include organizing awareness programmes with the aid of government organizations, arranging campaigns, conducting seminars etc. The cell also monitors the entire campus to make sure its mission is executed in the right way.

Anti-ragging cell

Ragging is strictly prohibited in this institution as per Government order. Names of those indulging in ragging will be instantly removed from the roll and further action will be taken as per Government Order. An anti-ragging committee has been constituted to curb the menace of ragging. This committee monitors and preserves a culture of ragging free environment in the college premises. Students can place their grievance in the complaint box without revealing their name or identity. They can also mail or text the problems faced or come cross in and out of the campus.

The National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year, 1969. In May 1969, a conference of student representatives (of universities and institutions of higher education) convened by the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission also unanimously agreed that a national-service scheme could be an instrument for national integration.

Arts Fests

College fests and activities provide opportunities to interact with your peers and form new connections. While organizing any event, students stumble upon new people and build their network. Most of these activities are group-oriented due to which students get to know about people from different cultural backgrounds and interests. These healthy interactions not only enhance interpersonal and communication skills of students but also prepare them for the real world.

Tech fest

Technical fests should be an essential part of course curriculum as it gives a platform to young brains to showcase their innovative ideas and compete with their peers. These technical fests are an amalgamation of fun and learning where spectacular ideas are displayed, and students learn and feel inspired. Hackathons encourage students to rack their brains and brainstorm to provide solutions for any existing substantial problem such as digitization, electricity issues, and other alarming concerns. These events guide engineers, computer experts, researchers to dream bigger and achieve them.

Al-Azhar Festival

Al-Azhar Festival is a venue to celebrate as well as experience the best of arts, science and culture. The festival is an amalgamation of fun, exhibition of talents as well as giving back to the community. Each fest is built to be a memorable occasion. With the festival being open to the public, it’s also a platform for all of Thodupuzha to come together, connect and experience the wonders our student community has to offer.

Sports Facilities

Physical Education and Sports is one of the important yardsticks and also an integral part of education. Education acts as well as the provision of resources for the nation and in the construction of evaluation systems in education developments and it promotes the development of physical education in a country. The institution has hostels for girls and boys within the campus

Food items are prepared and served hygienically. The hostel is facilitated with Wi-Fi facility, indoor games, gym etc. 24 x 7 ambulance service is available for the needy apart from a dispensary which functions during the evening. In addition, other facilities work mentioned includes treated hygienic water, stationeries, Power backup etc. Residential wardens are allotted with individual rooms in the respective hostels

Gymnasium hall, Reading room, indoor games such as Shuttle, Carom, Chess, are available in the activity block. TV facility is available in the hostels.
