The motto of the department is to provide a strong foundation and mould the students to achieve their goals by the proper understanding of the fundamental principles in basic science.

The department of science and humanities was established since the inception of AACET. The department inculcates basic knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Humanities and English which are the foundation of engineering. Department provides a Language lab for the students to enrich their communication competence and also offer remedial and reinforcement sessions. Department has physics & Chemistry laboratories with modern facilities and also has a department library with a good number of books.

The Department of science and humanities is headed by Prof. Anjali Prasad and comprises of well qualified, dedicated and highly motivated faculty.

Lab Facilities

Excellent infrastructure is provided for the academic betterment of our students. To substantiate theoretical expressions, Al-Azhar has established modern laboratories that comply with the KTU regulations. The equipment, specimen and technical facilities in the lab create a superior ambience for the students to conduct experiments.

Engineering Physics Lab

Laboratory experiments help the students to understand physical concept through the measurements of the physical quantities. The lap is perfectly prepared that enables the B.Tech student to understand and demonstrate the theoretical concepts of physics. It is well designed laboratory with lots of instruments and has the capacity to accommodate maximum of 35 students. Physics practical’s gives the idea about how to apply concepts of physics in engineering. Practical awareness is implanted and students are able to develop both quantitative and qualitative skills.

Engineering Chemistry Lab

The engineering chemistry lab flourish the BTech students to understand and demonstrate the theoretical concepts of engineering chemistry. Laboratory experiments helps to develop scientific attitude among students. The lab has the capacity to accommodate maximum 35 students in a single session. The lab is neatly designed with laboratory equipment’s, spacious and well ventilated. In future, the students are expected to know how to apply various chemical techniques used in engineering application.

Language Lab

The language lab provides the students with audio and audio-visual aids to improve their English fluency and communication skill. The faculty ensures the best outcome by conducting language exercises and interactive sessions at different levels for the students.
